A Compressible Magneto-Rheological Fluid Spring-Damper Device
The goal of this project was to develop a novel Compressible Magnetorheological (CMR) fluid springless strut for US Army tracked vehicles. The developed prototype is capable of providing a controllable vibration damping and liquid spring characteristics in one single device. The full-scale CMR strut and control system were successfully tested under operational and non-operational environmental conditions.
