Optimized Nano-Porous Surfaces for Boiling Heat Transfer
The goal of this project was to develop and commercialize an optimized technique to produce durable nano-porous surfaces (NPS) for heat transfer applications using an inexpensive electrochemical process. AMAD has also conducted Technology Enhancement for Commercial Partnerships (TECP) project with Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems - Marine Systems (NGES-MS) for the steam generator application on naval missile ejection systems. The TECP efforts demonstrated that the efficiency of small-scale steam generator pressure flask heaters for the steam ejection system can be enhanced by utilizing NPS.
