Materials Testing: Rheology
Rheology testing is measuring the physical properties of liquids, polymers, gels, magnetorheological materials, and elastomers using a rheometer. Rheological measurements can be used for product characterization or quality control. Our rheometer system provides flow curves of such materials up to 10,000 1/s shear rate while also providing strain sweep and frequency sweep to provide dynamic flow properties. A thermal control unit provides temperature-controlled testing of samples from -10°F to 250°F. Our rheometer is also equipped with an automated electromagnet designed specifically to characterize magnetorheological materials.
